Introduction

As a Mental Health Therapist, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon and Washington I truly believe that we all inherently have the capacity for deep healing within ourselves.   My practice is rooted in culturally affirming, intuitive and trauma-informed mind-body healing, using somatic noticing, mindfulness and narrative, or story. I believe in the value of  cultural and ethnic diversity, and it is my personal and professional mission to end discrimination, oppression, poverty, and other forms of social injustice for all people. I see my role in my clients healing process as helping to elicit and support a deep connection between one's mind, body and spirit.  I do not believe humans are in need of 'fixing'.  Rather, I believe that we all have within us what we need and that we all benefit from having compassionate support to find and embrace our own strengths.   All humans have stories to tell. Each story we carry is rooted in our ancestors. I believe therapists must honor intergenerational trauma and provide space to allow for and elicit whole self healing. My approach to health and wellness is to support every clients’ intuitive body awareness. This is only reached through liberation from diet culture and through somatic embodiment. I will never support diet culture and will not engage in any interactions with clients that promote body shame.
