As a clinical social worker, I provide support to individual adults and teens who are navigating depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, relationship issues, and life transitions. I have developed expertise in supporting people who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse, including childhood sexual abuse. In my work, I pay attention to how structural oppression, intergenerational trauma and historical factors have shaped your lived experience and the pain that is present now, and also the resilience you hold. I can help you develop and enhance coping strategies to deal with overwhelming thoughts, feelings, and sensations. Together we can increase your awareness of how the past is showing up in the present, and reprocess painful past experiences so you can let go of what no longer serves you, and move forward. My approach is strengths-based, compassionate, creative and non-judgmental. I draw from cognitive, relational, somatic and trauma-focused modalities, including EMDR and "parts" work. At its core, I root my practice in hope; I hold hope for healing and truly believe it is possible.
