People often come to me because they are experiencing effects of complex trauma, life and relationship stressors, caregiving, or chronic illness. I frequently work with emerging adults who are navigating the transition into adulthood, with all of its promise and challenges. I am a Certified Narrative Therapist, and that means I view you as the expert of your own life. It also means I understand that you are not defined by the problems you face or by a diagnosis. In addition to Narrative Therapy, my training allows me to incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and mindfulness-based, mind-body, and caregiver-specific approaches into our work. Beyond my professional training, I have lived experience of chronic illness and its impacts on past, present, and future. The privacy of the people with whom I work is important to me. In keeping with these values and the ethics of my profession, I conduct virtual sessions using the HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform Doxy.me. I do not utilize any form of AI-assisted technology in my practice. When I'm not in the therapy space, I enjoy spending time in the mountains rock climbing, trail running, and backpacking.
