Influenced by my own pregnancy challenges and postpartum experience, I decided to pursue my perinatal mental health certification ( PMH-C). I learned first hand how much our society lacks in supporting people through the experiences related to becoming a parent. I work with women and nonbinary individuals. My clients are trying to conceive, pregnant, postpartum, new parents and intended parents. Areas of exploration might include but are not limited to: difficulty getting pregnant, miscarriage, pregnancy challenges, identity shifts, NICU time, birth trauma, adjustment to parenting, coping with the newborn days, postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety and grief. I also have background in and specialize in working with individuals with eating disorders. Times of stress and transition can be triggers to ED behavior, so I work closely with people who are in recovery and also TTC, pregnant, or postpartum.
