Introduction

Welcome! I enjoy helping teens and adults identify roadblocks and behavioral survival tactics that may no longer be helpful as they are hurtful in their everyday life. Through identifying and processing unhelpful coping mechanisms and trauma responses, together we build a new way of seeing and responding to the world. I use a trauma-focused comprehensive treatment plan to see real results and help you achieve your goals. You’ll always know what to expect coming into session and know where we are in your specific plan for what you want to achieve. I often incorporate body movement and breathing techniques for true transformation from trauma. I’m trained in a highly effective evidence-based therapy technique called EMDR (eye movement desensitization and rapid processing). As we grow, when trauma or hard things happen and we don’t have time or aren’t in a safe place to digest the hard things, we develop these sore spots. When things happen in life that hit our ‘sore spots’ they can REALLY hurt – more so than they hurt other people. We’ll develop all sorts of unique and creative ways of avoiding our sore spots being hit. It can really take up our lives. Together, we can work to heal up these sore spots. So you spend less time feeling exhausted, hurt, confused, angry, or overwhelmed by your brain or the hard stuff that’s already happened and more time pursuing and enjoying your life that is happening now. I also utilize IFS (internal family solutions) DBT (dialect behavioral therapy) and yoga-inspired somatic bodywork in therapy to support you in finding your space in this world.
