Welcome to Healing 180 Counseling, where your journey toward hope and healing begins. Whether you are dealing with unexpected challenges, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, or trying to make sense of your past, seeking therapy can be a vital first step in committing to your healing process. I offer empathetic, trauma-informed mental health services to adults. My goal is to support clients as they rediscover joy and improve their relationships with themselves and others. I believe that everyone possesses unique strengths that can be harnessed for healing and building healthy lives. Many clients struggle to let go of past experiences and feel burdened by emotions such as shame, guilt, or fear. These challenges can either imprison us or empower us. I am dedicated to helping clients uncover their true potential and overcome the obstacles that prevent them from living the life they envision. I utilize a diverse range of evidence-based interventions to assist individuals in achieving long-term benefits. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and Master’s degrees in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Addiction Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. I have received extensive training in trauma treatment, including advanced certification in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Both ART and EMDR are proven effective treatments that provide lasting relief for issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, anxiety, grief, and phobias. In addition to my private practice work, I have experience as a counselor at both a dual diagnosis treatment center, helping individuals who struggle with addiction and mental illness, and an inpatient psychiatric facility. If you are seeking extra support and guidance or are ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. For those who desire a Christian perspective, I integrate faith and research-based therapy to provide support and understanding. The level of incorporation of faith into the counseling experience is at the discretion of the client and is not a requirement for obtaining services. I see individual clients aged 18 and older. You can reach out to me through the request appointment button today.
