Introduction

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 5 years of counseling experience. I work with women experiencing a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, relationship issues, life transitions, and more. I believe that we all have unique backgrounds and experiences, and because of this I find it important to be Person-Centered in my approach. What this means is I am committed to: 1) being empathetic, 2) being my most genuine self, and 3) being non-judgmental. I also have experience using Solution-Focused Therapy which is an approach that is future and goal-oriented. Along with these two approaches, I am being trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. It is a treatment approach that has been widely validated by research for the treatment of PTSD. There have been many other studies where EMDR therapy helps those with: anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, chronic pain, grief/mourning, panic, and much more. We can determine together what type of therapy works best for you and what you are most comfortable with. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio. You have already taken such a large step forward by seeking out therapy. I hope that I might be a part of that journey with you!
