I am a Clinical Psychologist with previous training in the treatment of adolescents and adults, and I have experience working in community mental health, juvenile justice, and private practice. I work with both adults and adolescents, and I draw from such theories as Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Theory to ensure that I am meeting the specific needs of my clients effectively. My therapeutic style is very casual and conversationally-based, and I aim to provide a positive therapeutic experience and create a space where my client’s feel safe to discuss topics openly and without judgement. I recognize that initiating therapy can at times feel a bit daunting, and I have found that this approach helps decrease anxiety related to engaging in therapy. I believe that one size does not fit all. I believe that we are the experts of our own experience, and that our individual experiences shape who we are. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for positive change. I believe in fostering authenticity and compassion both within the client’s view of themselves as well as within the therapeutic relationship. I believe that therapy is a collaboration aimed at improving one’s overall well-being and that the goal is to guide my client’s on their journey to living their best life. These are the values that guide my clinical work to ensure that each person is experiencing a therapeutic framework that is individually tailored and feels right for them.
