Introduction

Hey! You found me. Or we found each other. Either way, it was meant to be 😊 My name is Maureen and I am a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2002 and began working with children and families. I decided to further my education in the field as I grew more passionate about mental health. So, in 2005, I was lucky enough to begin my graduate work at the University of Central Florida, as UCF had just been named the #1 school in the nation for their counselor education program. It was a challenging couple of years, but I loved every minute of my time at UCF and credit them for making me the counselor I am today. When I graduated in 2007, I had planned to stay in Florida, but missing home and family started to kick in and I moved back to Tunkhannock, PA in 2008, where I started working as a Mobile Therapist and a Behavioral Specialist Consultant. In 2017, I switched to Outpatient Therapy, which I continue to do now. It's really true what they say, "find something you love to do and you'll never work a day in your life". I look forward to hearing your story.
