My approach is rooted in multiculturalism, and is strengths-based. I draw from mindfulness-based, person-centered, cognitive, existential, narrative and psychodynamic approaches. I work with clients to explore ways to alleviate suffering, reduce stress, and increase self-empowerment and enjoyment of one's life. I have personally benefited from immersing myself and working directly with the natural world. While this influences all of my work with clients, I also provide direct nature-based therapy. This can include doing some sessions on walks or just simply sitting outdoors for those who are interested in benefitting from the healing effects and wisdom of the natural world. I have experience working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship issues (couples), life transitions, grief, end of life, and men's issues. I work with clients 12 years and older of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
