My name is Matthew Lamb, and I’m a therapist dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate space where meaningful healing can take place. My journey to becoming a therapist was shaped by years of travel across cultures and landscapes, each experience expanding my perspective and deepening my understanding of the human condition. Along the way, I also turned inward—working through my own struggles and healing. That combination of outer exploration and inner growth led me to this work. As a therapist, I offer a grounded, compassionate space where clients can explore their own stories, navigate challenges, and move toward greater clarity and connection. After earning a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from St. John Fisher College, I began my work in New York State supporting individuals struggling with substance use, anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma related disorders. I later moved to Juneau after spending time in different parts of the state on wilderness excursions. Those experiences further grounded my belief in the healing potential of nature, presence, and slowing down. I believe change is possible at any stage of life, and that therapy should begin by meeting you exactly where you are. My approach isn’t about quick fixes—it’s rooted in honest connection, deep listening, and helping you reconnect with your inner strength. Together, we’ll move at your pace and work toward the goals that matter most to you. I specialize in working with adults struggling with trauma, anxiety, and feelings of hopelessness, using EMDR as a core approach to healing. I accept Aetna and Premera Blue Cross and can bill these insurance providers directly. For all other insurance plans, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Payment for out-of-network services is made by credit card at the time of the session.
