Growing up can be hard! Being a parent can feel impossible! Making a life, a family, a home can be daunting. At MCF Family Counseling our goal is to come alongside children, adolescents, and adults to learn and grow together for a better tomorrow, while honoring yesterday. With a clear focus on evidenced-based therapy practices, Matthew Fish, PhD, LPC offers a chance at hope for all members of the family. Graduating with a B.A. from North Central University focusing on children's programming, Matthew pursued his M.A. from Dallas Theological Seminary in Counseling. He received his Ph.D. in Counseling from Texas A&M University - Commerce with a focus in Child and Adolescent Counseling. Having worked in multiple capacities with children and their families for nearly 2 decades, Dr. Fish brings experience, patience, and an engaging environment to help kids of all ages (including parents!) find hope again. He has specialized experience and training working with developmental disabilities (ADHD, ASD, etc.), learning differences, parent-child relationship struggles, divorce and legal issues, suicidal ideation, non-suicidal self-harm, eating issues, school performance, and court appointed counseling. Growth is often difficult, but he believes that it's dangerous to go alone. Together challenges can be overcome.
