Introduction

I hope that this narration will flesh out the person that is Ivy Felder and highlight all her skills, abilities, and attributes. I pursued my degree while negotiating the travails of a full-time job and personal responsibilities. I believe that the experience of both working and studying is a beneficial one; one learns the importance of both time and money, while the value of hard work is reinforced daily. To elucidate further, I carried out my studies and performed my professional obligations while caring for my then-three-year-old daughter. The process demands a careful calibration of responsibilities and the sensible budgeting of time and resources. These lessons and experiences aid me through my graduate-level education. I have completed my bachelor’s in psychology from LaSalle University. Later I attained a degree in Rosemont College Graduate Psychology Program. Moving forward toward licensure, I signed up for post-graduate work at The Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis and worked as a private practitioner at The Philadelphia Consultation Center. I also worked as a Social Worker at Friends Hospital, a Mobil Crisis Clinician for the City of Philadelphia, and a Behavioral Specialist. After securing my LPC, I began a position as a Psychologist for The Philadelphia Department of Human Services DHS in 2016. My training and passion are Modern Psychoanalysis; however, depending on the client's need, I can fluctuate between a behavioral approach or a client-centered one. I have come to learn throughout my career that "Happiness and sadness are temporary states; the goal is to be at peace in all situations." Let's work together to get you there!
