It has been my privilege for the last 7 years to intensively work with clients from a variety of backgrounds to treat depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma and general life stress. Whether you identify several areas of your life that you need support around or just a few things you would like to improve, my door is open to you. We will work together to create a comfortable therapeutic environment where you feel understood and walk away with concrete tools to try outside of sessions. I work from evidenced based practices models that are proven to be effective in treating mental health conditions. I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in sociology at the State University of New York at Geneseo. My studies continued at Roberts Wesleyan College, graduating with a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Children and Families. Working in various roles as a psychotherapist I have served children, adolescents and adults in an outpatient community clinic, a mobile mental health program, a weight loss immersion program and a specialized OCD telehealth treatment program (NOCD- https://www.treatmyocd.com/) . I have extensive training working with children as Registered Play Therapist through the Association of Play Therapy. Each role as a therapist has always included individuals of various age groups. My wide range of experience in mental health across the lifespan offers a unique perspective for clients. Chances are, I have met a client similar you or your child before. You can trust that what you share in treatment will be met with empathy without any type of judgement. When I’m not in the office you can find me maintaining a cut flower & vegetable garden, doing modern calligraphy, baking, leading an active lifestyle and enjoying time with family and friends. I am a certified RYT-200 hr Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. I teach classes and workshops in the community. My puppy, Ollie, is working hard at training to hopefully join my practice as a certified therapy dog in the future!
