“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” ― Rumi As a therapist, I am committed to coming alongside my clients to help them develop skills for targeting ineffective behaviors, habits and beliefs. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to helping clients reach their goals. I have a person centered orientation and believe that therapy works best when there is a positive relationship between client and therapist. I love getting to know my clients, using humor in my practice and developing deep, meaningful relationships that promote healing. My ideal client is someone who is committed to the therapeutic process and who understands that therapy can be a journey that is non-linear and challenging. In my practice, my focus is on working with women across the lifespan. I am particularly interested in maternal mental health and have specialized training in perinatal mental health. I also work with couples and have training using the Gottman method. I offer a hybrid model with both in-person and virtual appointments available. I also see teens ages 12-18 in my practice. However, those appointments must be in person. My office is located on 46th and Fremont in NE Portland and I reserve 4:00pm appointments for this population.
