Hi, I’m Mary Hawk, and I work with women and men who are navigating the complex, layered, and often emotional terrain of midlife. For over 20 years, I’ve sat with women and men in the middle of big transitions—divorce, identity shifts, caregiving, menopause, retirement, grief, reawakening. This season is often described as a “midlife crisis,” but I see it as a profound invitation. A chance to pause. To look at what’s no longer working. To gently tend to the parts of ourselves that we’ve long neglected. And to ask: What now? I know this terrain because I’ve walked it myself. I’m a mom of two (now in college), a survivor of a painful divorce after a long marriage, and someone who’s rebuilt a life from the inside out. I’ve lived overseas, helped raise other people’s children, cared deeply—sometimes to my own detriment—and found my way back to my own voice, body, and becoming. You can too. While midlife is where I most often work, I also support those in their 20s and 30s who are navigating transformations of their own—choosing careers, forming partnerships, wondering about becoming parents, or facing other complex challenges these seasons bring. Therapy with me is warm, slow, and deeply human. I draw from a psychodynamic and relational framework, but more importantly, I bring my presence, intuition, and care into every session. I believe healing happens in relationship—in community—and that we are never meant to do this work alone.
