I offer integrative therapy IN-PERSON in SANTA ROSA or ONLINE California-wide. Whether we incorporate Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Psychedelic/Ketamine Assisted Therapy, or evidence-based integrative health practices, we'll collaboratively customize your treatment to meet your needs and goals. With a blend of compassion, humor and transformative experiences I love helping folks intuitively tune into, and work with, these living pieces of themselves as opportunities to grow into balance, vitality, purpose and wholeness. I support people to heal at the roots, find their own power, speak and live in their truth, and thrive in a connected and meaningful life. If this aligns with what you’re seeking, I’d love to help any way I can. During my clinical direction at Duffy’s Napa Valley Treatment, an integrative treatment center for substance addictions, I helped advance treatment programming to incorporate evidence-based treatments and integrative health. I continue to clinically supervise and train burgeoning therapists and students there. At Be The Change in Mental Health, a non-profit mental health clinic in Santa Rosa, I developed and directed psychological services for their Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy program the past 2 years. I am also founder of HolisticRecovery.com, an educational resource for evidence-based integrative health practices that enhance recovery from addiction, anxiety, depression and trauma. POPULATIONS SERVED I have been honored to serve populations of veterans, first responders, LGBTQ+, children and teens, trauma survivors, and addiction recovery culture/community members. I was given the privilege of designing and running the successful First Responders group ketamine-assisted therapy pilot program at Be the Change. EDUCATION I earned both my Masters (MA) and Doctorate (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. There, I conducted dissertation research in the psychedelic sciences for treating substance use disorders, and have since provided a number of continuing education presentations and workshops on the topic for fellow mental health professionals in the field. TRAINING I admittedly have gone training hungry after grad school. What can I say, I'm a passionate nerd and love expanding my repertoire of ways to help people. I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Non-violent Communication (NVC). I am a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP) and certified Neurodynamic Breathwork facilitator. I also underwent intensive post-graduate certification training with Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Sciences (MAPS) in MDMA assisted psychotherapy for treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Additionally, I received training in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy with Polaris Insight Center, as well as Awaken Life Sciences KARE protocol for treating alcohol use disorder. PAST CAREERS In the decade prior to my clinical practice, I worked as residential care counselor at a child protective services shelter in Sonoma County. For a decade prior to that, I was living the young man's dream of producing (and musically performing at) large-scale electronic dance music events in the SF bay area. PERSONAL JOURNEY In my personal life, I have been a consistently active and contributing member of addiction recovery support group communities since 2004. This, in particular, inspired me to further my education and professional development in the human helping fields and become the psychologist I am today.
