Introduction

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC) and a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH). For your convenience, my practice is strictly virtual. Whether you are at home, on your lunch break at work or on vacation, you can remain consistent with your treatment. As long as you can find a place where you will have complete privacy, you never have to miss a session. In addition to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I also like using a newer, evidence-based, brain-based approach, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). This approach helps my clients realize change much sooner than the more traditional therapeutic modalities. Feeling better sooner is what I want for my clients. Another specialty of mine is Christian Counseling and I enjoy working with those who prefer a faith-based approach to psychotherapy. I lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for 18 years and speak Portuguese. Although I conduct sessions in that language, if that is your first language, hopefully you will be able to forgive the occasional grammatical error. Whether you are dealing with a life transition or issues from the past that continue to trouble you, I would consider it an honor to collaborate with you on the journey to live your best life.
