Introduction

Marnie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Her eclectic background draws from applied behavior analysis, individual and family counseling, medical social work, diagnostic assessments, and mental health. She has served many different demographics across her career but she has spent the last several years serving primarily East African children and families. She strives to provide ethical, reliable, effective, and compassionate services to all individuals and families who seek her services. Marnie completed her Clinical Social Work program in 2015 from St. Catherine University & the University of St. Thomas, MN. Her clinical research project in her graduate studies focused on the barriers that families with children with autism experienced to service delivery. She carries a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Cloud State University in 2010. She also completed post-collegiate work in Applied Behavior Analysis completing certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) between 2012-2015 and became a Certified Financial Social Worker (CFSW) 2022-2025. Marnie has completed her Certified Autism Specialist (CAS) certification in March 2025. In May 2025, Marnie began her Doctor of Social Work (DSW) program with an emphasis in Advanced Clinical Practice at the University of New England in Maine. She anticipates studing the barriers to service delivery for EIDBI for her doctoral thesis. A work-life balance is important to Marnie. She balances her career with leisure by reading, listening to podcasts, traveling the world, and spending time with her cats, Chuckie and Pearl.
