Introduction

With 20 years experience as an Educator and Counselor in public and private high schools, I've inspired and helped several adolescents and their families navigate through the challenges faced during that difficult developmental period. In 2011, I began serving as a private practitioner and founded Changing Perspectives, LLC where I work with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are: helping couples develop an intimate and meaningful relationship with mutual respect; helping families resolve parent/teen conflicts; helping people recover from depression, anxiety, and other disorders; and helping to improve self-esteem. I am an interactive psychotherapist with a holistic approach. I provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. Integrating cognitive-behavioral techniques with complementary methodologies, I (and my team of dedicated therapists) offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, we work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. In addition to providing psychotherapy, I've presented at conferences, classrooms, churches, workshops, and to general audiences speaking on various mental health topics. EDUCATION I have a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University. I also have a License in Mental Health in the state of Florida which evidences further study and training in the field beyond my masters degree. I attend trainings and workshops regularly to receive continuing education credits and to stay current with advancements in the field. LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS - Licensed Mental Health Counselor - State of FL, License # MH10439 - Qualified Parenting Coordinator - 11th Judicial Circuit of FL Family Court - Qualified Clinical Supervisor - 2014 - Certified Teacher in the State of Florida since 1996 ADDITIONAL TRAININGS - Florida Supreme Court Family Mediation - Collaborative Divorce - 2010 - Collaborative Family Law - 2012 Taking a holistic and integrative approach, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I and my team of dedicated therapists, look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
