Introduction

Marlon Minh Hoang, MA Registered Associate Marriage Family Therapist AMFT # 141522. Employed at Therapy InMotion. Supervised by Kate Williams LMFT # 122818 Educational background and clinical training: I received my master’s in counseling psychology with double emphases in Health Psychology and LGBTQ Counseling. During graduate school I focused on utilizing multimodal holistic integrative, strength-based experiential approaches that are respectful, trauma-informed, and evidenced-based. My initial clinical training includes offering school-based therapy with teens that suffered from Anxiety and Depression. After working with teens, I worked in an Adult Specialty Mental Health outpatient clinic with LGBTQIA+, PTSD, Psychotic Disorders and Mood Disorders. More recently I worked at Kaiser Permanente in Child and Adolescent psychiatry to help treat Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Currently serving Veterans and their families. Personal Values and what to expect as a client: I value human wisdom, truth, knowledge, and am a spiritual guide and activist. I approach my clinical work by showing a deep appreciation for diversity and the inclusion of all cultural and gender-expansive identities and create a safe place to share those experiences. My hope is to empower and to impart a sense of hope, wisdom, and inspiration for each one of my clients. My belief is that therapy helps guide a person to live a meaningful, self-determined, and fulfilling life filled with courage, strength, love, and integrity.
