Hello! I’m Marlen Granados (she/her/ella), a bilingual psychotherapist at Latinx Talk Therapy. My approach is person-centered, focusing on empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence to empower individual growth. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients reframe their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a positive light. After graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago, I gained valuable experience at the Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) Program in Pilsen, where I supported clients' emotional and social growth through clinical interventions and intentional goal-setting. Growing up in Brighton Park as a first-generation Mexican-American Latina has instilled in me a deep resilience and a desire to share that strength with others. I understand that everyone comes from unique backgrounds, and my goal is to create a safe, empowering space for you. Outside of work, I cherish nature, music, and delicious food, and I bring my adventurous and engaging spirit to our sessions. I primarily work with the Latinx community on issues such as acculturation, family adjustments, trauma, and mental health challenges like depression and anxiety.
