WHY EMDR? Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is an evidenced-based therapeutic approach and considered the gold standard in processing trauma. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, auditory tones) to allow the brain to process distressing memories so that memories can be recalled without a trauma response. EMDR does not require homework nor does it require clients to speak in detail about the trauma. … To learn more, visit the EMDRIA.org … Children and Adults can benefit from EMDR to reduce symptoms of: PTSD Depression Generalized Anxiety Pain Violence and Abuse Education Masters of Arts in Counseling, Loyola Marymount University 2013 CA Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Loyola Marymount University 2009 Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, Minors in Education and History, Loyola Marymount University 2008 Licenses and Certifications Licensed Clinical Professional Counseling, LCPC #CP1222-R (NV Board of Examiners for MFTs and CPCs) Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, LPCC #3394 (CA Board of Behavioral Sciences) Licensed Professional Counseling, LCPC #C6611 (OR Board of LPC and Therapists) National Certified Counselor #1273217 (The National Board for Certified Counselors)
