Introduction

Welcome to Mark Dadmun Counseling. I am a licensed therapist who takes a collaborative and integrative approach to support people as they explore their goals, relationships, and personal well-being. I strive to meet people where they are, listen to what is important to them, be sensitive to their cultural backgrounds and values, and collaborate with each individual as they explore areas of growth and healing. We can work together across diverse areas including: anxiety, depression, family dynamics, obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, intimate relationships, parenting, sleep difficulties, grief and loss, stress management, substance use, sexuality and relationship concerns, identity and gender, trauma, interpersonal conflicts, chronic illness/pain, major life transitions, and other mental health concerns. I’m trained in multiple therapy modalities and work to be dynamic, finding what feels most helpful for each individual. I have extensive experience using cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, exposure and response prevention for OCD, narrative/constructivist therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, existentialism, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Gottman method couples therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). We can explore and adapt to what each person needs from their counseling experience.  I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field including working at community non-profits and a decade working as a therapist and then Assistant Director at a university counseling center. I work to bring a breadth and depth of understanding to the therapeutic experience. Please contact me if you are interested in a brief consultation to explore if these therapeutic services are a good fit for you.
