Introduction

Hello, welcome to my profile. I am a first generation, Mexican-American bilingual therapist. I operate from a Person-Centered approach, and I have been told I am sometimes unorthodox in my approach to treatment. I am eclectic and holistic in my treatment, integrated all parts of my clients in order to meet their wellness spectrum. I use a lot of psychoeducation and unconditional positive regard. I highly believe that the person sitting across from me is the expert in their own lives, so I am open to feedback, criticism, and open dialogue in sessions. While it is always a professional relationship between a therapist and their client, I also know it takes openness and vulnerability to trust who you share your story with. Therefore, I strive to be honest and transparent with who I am with my clients. As a millennial, I can relate in many aspects to our current situations and the difficulties we are facing. I am also the oldest in my family, and therefore I also have a connection with younger generations, even though growing up I was usually that kid in the grown-ups table, listening, and analyzing.
