Hello, my name is Maritza Aceves and I’m a bilingual (Spanish & English) psychotherapist at Latinx Talk Therapy. As a trauma-sensitive therapist, I work through an integrative lens when providing care. My clinical approach will vary depending on the client’s experiences, preferences, and needs. I am trained in motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based approaches, creative arts, and drama therapy. I also have extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy, an intervention proven to be effective for a range of issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and complex trauma. I take a holistic, caring, and individualized approach to therapy by actively listening to clients and constructively engaging with them. I believe that a therapeutic alliance can be an important step in the healing process; therefore, my motive strives to provide a safe space for emotions to be understood, processed and coped with.
