I am a therapist that has worked on complex social service issues that intersect in the areas of psychiatry, complex medical issues, substance abuse and proper level of care. It has been my job to find solutions to a wide variety of these issues while assisting family in coordinating proper care for substance abuse, medical issues, and mental illness. My unique cross-sectional experience allows me to be able to speak on how systems intersect and how to best navigate multiple areas for the best outcome for clients. My ability to manage complex issues while managing relationships with individuals across silos has been crucial to my work. Previous social work experience has included working in inpatient psychiatry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) with suicidal teens. Chief among my responsibilities was suicidal risk assessments, family meetings, unit and home safety. I was also responsible for proper aftercare, consultations with allied health professions and psychiatrist on an ongoing basis. I was second in command to the psychiatrist once they were no longer on the unit. My expertise includes mood disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar and borderline personality disorder, as well as medical social in a variety of areas. With over 15 years of experience in Social Work, Healthcare and Education my diverse career background also encompasses journalism. This has assisted in sharpening my patient interviewing skills within chaotic and deadline driven situations. I completed my Master’s in public administration from Indiana Wesalyn in August of 2020. I am confident that these experiences will allow me to be productive and successful in this role. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to the opportunity of our conversation.
