Introduction

I am a bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor Associate dedicated to providing holistic care to my clients. I prioritize integrating theoretical frameworks that resonate with each individual's values, beliefs, and needs, fostering a comprehensive understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I aim to provide my clients with the tools and insights necessary for sustained personal growth and positive transformation. I work with individuals of all ages in a safe, open, and nonjudgmental environment, to help them identify their goals and objectives. I facilitate their journey toward fulfillment and well-being through appropriate diagnoses, assessments, and evidence-based treatment interventions, including creative techniques. I provide high-quality, research-backed, and patient-centered treatments, focused on identifying and resolving the underlying cause rather than just treating the symptoms, allowing the clients to achieve their long-term and permanent relief they deserve. I am a trauma, grief, and art-trained counselor. I am working towards certification in advanced techniques that enable me to support individuals in enhancing self-awareness, forging healing connections, recovering from traumatic experiences, cultivating resilience, and promoting preventive change. As a member of recognized institutions such as the American Counseling Association (ACA), the American Psychological Association (APA), the International Association for Resilience and Trauma Counseling (IART), the American Art Therapy Association (AATA), and the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), I uphold the highest standards of professional practice. I am privileged to serve my community, drawing upon valuable experience gained under the supervision of Jennifer Galske Reid, M.S., L.P.C-S, and Dr. Andrew Brams, PHD, LSSP. https://www.mariabmcgreger.com/
