I’m Marcelle and I provide holistic psychotherapy for anxious people-pleasers, sensitive seekers, mothers and daughters, or overwhelmed adults who are going through a major life change. I guide my clients to integrate balance (which leads to confidence), fulfillment, and connection by equipping them with tools to embody boundaries, self-awareness, and compassion, while connecting them to their purpose. Many of today’s solutions for codependency and stress are leading so many to manage emotions and voice their needs, which is helpful. Yet, it does not always equate to a felt-sense of authenticity and self-compassion. I know that your circumstances are unique, so I guide you through a process that is tailored to your lived experiences always with an end goal in mind. First, we examine relational dynamics, family history, and triggers that are causing disconnected, overwhelmed and unfulfilled states. Then, we establish inner-balance from the inside out adapting various resources and tools that will be most effective for you (think breathing, grounding, and regulating the nervous system). Through our work together, you’ll integrate not just a skill set to come back to center, but an inner knowing and connection that you need to thrive in your relationships. I am dedicated to helping people restore wellbeing. My training in depth psychology, trauma therapy, bodymind approaches, and mindfulness/yoga, means I have the expertise you need and deserve when healing trauma and repairing inner (the relationship that we have with ourself) and outer relationships (the relationships that we have with others). But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what it means to be highly sensitive, stressed out, and/or a giver (codependent) who has struggled with low self-worth, overwhelm, and perhaps a lack of purpose, right? I get it because I too identify as highly sensitive and grew up in a dysfunctional family that inherited codependency, trauma, and substance use on both sides of my family, going back many generations. I know that it feels easier to make failed attempts to escape it, and go with the flow of putting other’s needs first. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
