With over 15 years of experience in the field, Maraeca has had the honor of assisting many individuals in reaching their goals and creating health in their lives. She is passionate about seeing others become their best selves and desires to help others achieve this goals through their work in therapy and continued self-awareness. With training and expertise in treating eating disorders, trauma, anxiety disorders and a wide variety of mental health issues, she believes in the effectiveness therapy can have on integral parts of our lives. Maraeca knows that counseling can be both sacred and fun work. She aims to teach her clients how to transform their lives, learn to manage their illness and gain a life full of hope and courage. Maraeca believes in the worth each of us posses and works alongside her clients to help them find this truth in their own lives. Equipping her clients with new tools to overcome whatever life throws at them, her goal is to help her clients feel, think and behave in new and healthy ways. She is passionate about getting to the root of the issue and achieving true and lasting healing! Maraeca has a heart for working with women and mothers. Maraeca received her B.A. in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. She is also a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor. She is also EMDR Certified an Approved Consultant and Facilitator. She is on Faculty with The Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy. She has taken many additional trainings in the understanding of attachment, dissociation, and the complex trauma. Outside of the office, you can find Maraeca with some music on, either singing or dancing along, likely outside, enjoying the great outdoors. She is a mother, a wife and a loyal friend. She loves to travel, eat new food and explore new cultures.
