Introduction

Hi, I am Mandy Witthuhn, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have 10 years of experience and absolutely love the work I do. To me, being a therapist means to be fully present with people in their most difficult spaces, their most fearful moments, and most painful experiences. My work means to hold the space for grief when it is too heavy to bear, when the weight of a harsh, new reality is disorienting and unwanted. It means to be with someone in their depression or anxiety and help them to find their power again, to find themselves again. It means to help a person with ADHD calm their chaos and learn to thrive, to help someone with OCD find their freedom, to help those with perfectionism or self-loathing develop self-compassion and to help someone dealing with change and upheaval find a fulfilling new normal. As a therapist, I do this through developing an empathic therapeutic relationship, cultivating insight and applying the concepts of Acceptance and Commitment therapy. I also hold certifications in EMDR, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Exposure Response Prevention and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I consider it a sincere honor to assist people in the profound process of change. I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, grief, relationship issues, ADHD and OCD. I am a firm believer that people have, within themselves, the resources to grow and heal. My focus as a therapist is to help them discover and apply those resources in order to live a more meaningful life and live it well.
