BIO I'm a licensed mental health counselor with twenty three years of experience serving individuals, families and communities working as a counselor, therapist and educator. My first passion led me to a career in the fashion industry where I became a textile design director. Later, I found a deeper interest in human growth and healing through creative expression. I returned to school to earn a graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling; Human Services and later served as the Director of Career Services at Bucks County Community College where I facilitated community-based mental health and career development programs, provided clinical supervision for graduate counselors, and offered direct individual counseling services. In 2007 I shifted my focus to providing individual, therapy in higher education and private practice. Since then I’ve become passionate about using effective therapeutic practices to heal trauma and help people live happier, healthier and more meaningful lives. APPROACH I use an integrative holistic approach tailored to your individual needs and drawing mainly from Internal Family Systems therapy, a powerful experiential approach that focuses on embracing all aspects of your personality and developing a trusting and healing relationship with your Self. The comprehensive and collaborative nature of the IFS approach allows for deep healing work, resulting in lasting positive change. It is the most compassionate and effective technique I’ve discovered. Clients come to see me to address a variety of issues including panic and anxiety, relationship difficulties, creative blocks, career decision making concerns, and healing the effects of trauma. I have extensive experience working cross-culturally and have an affinity for working with creatives, academics, helping professionals, young adults and with people who are non-conformist, over-achievers or neuro-divergent. It's my job to offer a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your inner world and heal the parts that are holding you back from living your full expression. Your job is to simply show up exactly as you are and be open to the process. If you'd like to get more of a sense of what working with me would be like, feel free to schedule a consultation call so we can talk about your needs and how I might be of help to you.
