My name is Maita Yang. I speak Hmong and English. I am a first generation adult child of refugees. As a mental health therapist with a refugee background, I bring a unique perspective to my practice, understanding firsthand the challenges of displacement, trauma, and cultural adjustment. My journey has fueled my passion for helping others navigate their mental health struggles with empathy and resilience. I have experience and a special interest in working with individuals with anxiety, cultural adjustment, depression, trauma, and OCD. My therapeutic approach rooted in evidence-based techniques tailored to each individual's needs. By fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment, I strive to empower my clients to heal, grow, and thrive despite their circumstances. Additionally, I have received training in immigration evaluations and have the experience and training in conducting psychological assessments for immigrant communities.
