I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and addictions counselor (LCADC) with specialization in trauma, PTSD, addictions, drug & alcohol use, depression, and anxiety. I believe the foundation of therapy is based on the relationship I build with you. I view the therapeutic relationship as an alliance and a collaborative process. I strive to create a safe atmosphere rooted in empathy, respect, and through a culturally sensitive framework. My path to becoming a mental health therapist involved my personal journey. The experiences and challenges faced in my formative years resulted in a scarred childhood which led to three things: 1. The need to heal 2. A focus on the importance of Mental & Emotional Health 3. The desire to help others heal by providing therapy I hold extensive experience working with individuals from diverse communities, cultures, and continents. I provide therapy for adults 18 and older to help individuals live their best life. My therapeutic modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), EMDR, and IFS. My goal is to assist you in realizing and reaching your true potential while fostering healing. I welcome feedback about my therapeutic approach to ensure your goals and needs are served. The most important thing I hope to achieve by working with you is to reduce dependency on therapy and harness motivation from within. As in my own case, I realized there is no greater victory than turning pain into productivity! The greatest triumphs of therapy are not found in the absence of pain, but in the presence of resilience.
