Life transitions can kick up many emotions and bring up feelings of anxiety, stress, or depression. You may be feeling disconnected from yourself and your loved ones, unsure of your true identity, or dissatisfied with your life. Many adults just starting out may find themselves questioning their purpose in life and re-examining what they want and who they are. It can feel isolating and frightening to navigate these internal and external changes alone. As a queer affirming and culturally sensitive therapist, my objective is to reduce feelings of isolation and otherness. I provide a safe space for clients to voice their needs, examine how they relate to themselves and others, and to learn adaptive coping skills. Through our work together my clients feel more confident in navigating through life transitions and relationships, able to feel and process their emotions, and show up fully in their lives. I earned my masters degree from New York University Silver School of Social Work and use an integrative approach in my work that includes psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and somatic experiencing techniques.
