Introduction

I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor who graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2023 with an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My journey to become a mental health counselor has hardly been a straight line. I got my B.F.A in Performing Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2013 and then lived in both Chicago and Los Angeles performing improv comedy and writing sketches while having survival jobs as well. Juggling all of that while also having fibromyalgia proved to be unsustainable, and I was getting burnt out on the toxicity of the entertainment industry. After my health worsened, I took about a year to soul search and work on myself. It was then that I had the epiphany to become a mental health counselor. I have lived in Atlanta since 2020 with my fiancé, my rescue dogs Podrick and Tarly, and my fiancé’s cat Sophie. It has been wonderful to finally be able to answer the call to help others that I heard all those years ago. I’m a Certified ADHD Life Coach and can help by using Solution-Focused Therapy to help you accomplish your long-term goals. I like to apply the use of humor, improv, and theater exercises safely and when appropriate in my counseling work. I take a person-centered approach to counseling and am looking forward to hearing from, and working with, the person that is the expert in their own life: you!
