Maddi has experience working with clients from a multitude of backgrounds and specializes in individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma that may have resulted in unconscious patterns of survival, such as attachment to substances, anxiety, people-pleasing, or disordered eating. Maddi believes in a holistic and collaborative approach to counseling in which traditional therapeutic interventions can be most effective when coupled with appropriate self-care and meaningful connection to others. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an internationally recognized and evidence-based approach that Maddi regularly utilizes to treat a variety of clinical problems, from complex trauma and recent traumatic events to concerns with self-esteem and relationship stress. With Eye Movement and Desensitization (EMDR) therapy, we can reduce and eliminate disturbing symptoms in a shorter period of time, such as feeling tense, recurring self-defeating patterns of behavior that result in conflicts with others, preoccupation with worries, and sleep disturbances. Maddi aims to cultivate a warm, accepting, and safe environment in therapy to help facilitate inner work that allows clients to feel empowered to navigate their present life with confidence, peace, and freedom.
