Introduction

Hello, thank you for your interest in RESTORE COUNSELING SERVICES--Inspiring Hope and Supporting Change. You are applauded for taking the first step in a courageous self-care journey. With relevant expertise, I am eager to apply my knowlege to your growth. I have earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Univesity of Miami, and Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southerastern University. One of the biggest misconceptions about counseling is that only "crazy" people get therapy. In fact, seeking professional counseling reflects sound judgment and determination to "live your best life". My goal is to help you attain emotional and behavioral growth, to restore harmony in your life. Whether you're in the middle of a crisis, stuck in past hurts, need to develop healthier relationships, or simply wish to become empowered to achieve a personal goal, there is hope to find solutions. With 20 years of experience, I have treated culturally diverse women and men of varying ages. Many have commented most on the ease in which they were able to discuss issues, and the relevant practical feedback given. One of my greatest assets in helping is the ability to get to the core issues and respectfully confront a person's perceptions and self-deceptions that contribute to the disturbance. I am proficient in Faith-based (Christian) counseling, as well as competent and sensitive in assisting multicultural clientele. You will find that I am focused on establishing a collaborative relationship, never judging thoughts, feelings, or behaviors. The thoughts and feelings that you share and the professional techniques that I utilize are as important as the collaboration that we build together. I present the opportunity for healing in challenging dialogue, yet with compassion and understanding. The therapeutic approach that I employ most often is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) but I do utilize variation depending upon the issues presented. In short, I assist in clarifying what you want for your life and then develop more effective behaviors toward solutions. Today can be the beginning of your new path. I look forward to working with you.
