Lynne Duval, MSW, LICSW founded Granite State Child & Family Counseling, PLLC in December 2004. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of NH. She graduated from Boston University with a Master's degree in Social Work. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW-NH) New Hampshire chapter and follows the NASW Code of Ethics for sound clinical practice. Lynne's approach to treatment includes many methods of therapy. Primarily she works from an attachment based model using Emotionally Focused Therapy for Individuals, Couples and Families. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a research-backed, compassionate approach designed to help individuals, couples, and families navigate emotional challenges and build stronger, more secure relationships. Rooted in attachment theory, EFT focuses on identifying the underlying emotions that drive our behaviors and relationship patterns. By understanding these emotions, we can break free from negative cycles and create healthier, more fulfilling connections. For Couples: EFT helps partners move beyond conflict by addressing the core emotions beneath disagreements. It provides tools to foster open communication, rebuild trust, and create a safe emotional bond. Whether you’re navigating relationship distress, healing from betrayal, or seeking to deepen intimacy, EFT offers a roadmap for lasting connection. For Individuals: EFT supports personal growth by helping you explore how emotional patterns shape your relationships and sense of self. Through this process, you’ll develop healthier emotional responses and a stronger foundation for meaningful connections. For Families: EFT helps families address conflict, strengthen communication, and repair emotional ruptures. By recognizing and responding to each family member’s emotional needs, EFT promotes harmony and emotional security within the family system. With EFT, you’re not just addressing surface-level issues—you’re transforming the emotional experiences at the heart of your relationships. Whether you’re looking to heal past wounds or strengthen current bonds, Emotionally Focused Therapy offers a supportive and effective path toward deeper connection and emotional well-being.
