Introduction

You feel stuck in “fight or flight”—emotionally reactive, overwhelmed by daily demands, and unsure how to break free from patterns that no longer serve you. Maybe small things feel big. Maybe relationships feel harder than they should. You want to feel grounded, safe in your own body, decisive, secure, and able to respond instead of react. You want to show up more regulated—for yourself and the people you love. This work begins with healing the wounds that created those patterns—and I’m here to help with that. My name is Lucy Romo, and I’m a trauma therapist who specializes in working with Gen Z and Millennials (roughly ages 18–43) navigating unresolved trauma, nervous system dysregulation, and relational pain—often rooted in childhood or family of origin wounds. My approach blends evidence-based techniques like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Somatic work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Attachment Theory. These frameworks help us go beyond “talk therapy” to reach the deeper, often unconscious, parts of your story that continue to influence how you show up in your life and relationships. In addition to being EMDR-trained, I hold advanced certifications in trauma-informed care, and I center safety, attunement, and nervous system regulation in all the work I do. Together, we’ll explore what your body and mind are holding, so you can begin to release what’s no longer yours to carry. Healing doesn’t mean doing it alone. As a licensed therapist in California, Nevada, and Texas, I offer virtual sessions that are trauma-informed, individualized, and deeply compassionate. If you're curious about working together, I’d love to offer you a free 15-minute consultation. Let’s talk about what’s keeping you stuck—and how you can begin to move forward.
