Introduction

Life can be challenging and is often accompanied by many challenges. The feelings accompanied by these difficult times can be felt very intensely, often hindering us in other aspects of our life. By exploring the challenges together, we can find ways to tackle those challenges and guide you towards a path of enjoying life and experiencing joy. I want to help you explore difficult times and find meaning in life, to empower you, and feel a sense of control that you might be yearning for. My hope is to help you move in a positive direction to feel worthy of the life you deserve. By using an eclectic theoretical orientation approach, I customize treatment for you. I use a strength-building method to help you identify your strengths and empower you to break free from what's holding you back. I will be here to listen to you in a nonjudgmental way and create a safe and comfortable environment to help you feel at ease. Being vulnerable is not easy, and feelings of shame often accompany it. I foster an environment of warm, empathic energy to make you feel safe disclosing complex topics. My expertise lies in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship, and parenting issues. My goal is to provide clients with the necessary tools for their personal, spiritual, and professional transitions in life. I'm looking forward to the possibility of being a positive supportive relationship to you helping you find the clarity you are hoping for during these challenging times. EXPERIENCE I have a Pupil Personnel School Counseling Credential and have worked in the k-12 school system for over ten years as a mental health coordinator and lead crisis counselor. I've worked with children with emotional disabilities, both with 504's or Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s), and offer Educational Related Mental Health Assessments to help develop goals that help children be successful at school and help parents feel supported and not alone. In addition to working with school-age children, I have experience working with adults. I have worked with many adults, individually, as parents, and couples supported them during life difficulties and transitions. As a Graduate School Instructor, I have first-hand experience working with college students. Working with college students has helped me understand the stress and pressure that these challenging, but exciting times bring to this time in life. I provide mental health educational presentations and classes to educators, corporations, businesses, and professionals in groups to help reduce burnout in the workplace and help give strategies to have balance and maintain self-care to support their work-life balance.
