Lorie (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with a client-centered and trauma-informed approach to therapy. Since 2004, Lorie has a wide range of experiences within the community mental health setting as well as working with individuals of all ages struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, life changes and transitions, grief, anger management, stress management, geriatric issues, LGBTQ+ issues and personality disorders. Lorie looks forward to offering evidence-based tools and knowledge to her clients. Lorie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Common Elements Treatment Approach (CETA). “Allowing oneself to be vulnerable in counseling can be really scary and yet so empowering at the same time. My goal in therapy is to act as a guide for clients to heal from disturbing symptoms and emotional distress.” In her free time, Lorie enjoys camping, rock painting, listening to live music, and spending time with her family and friends.
