As you begin in psychotherapy, I recognize and honor the courage it can take to embark on this journey. Life can be inherently stressful and overwhelming. You may feel stuck, burned out, down, or anxious. Emotions may be hard to manage. Whether you’re coping with a recent issue or you’ve been struggling for some time, I’ll work with you to meet your specific goals. I view psychotherapy as a collaborative process that is unique to each person. You should feel safe, heard, and understood in the therapy relationship. This paves the way for you to develop a better understanding of yourself, explore ways of healing, and learn new skills. As a clinical psychologist, I specialize in treating adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. I integrate approaches that foster insight into your inner world (parts that make up all of us–thoughts, emotions, experiences, physical sensations, behaviors) and utilize core strengths so you can better relate to yourself and others and ease suffering. I primarily draw upon Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 1 trained), somatic and mindfulness techniques, and relational psychotherapy. I am also trained in DBT. Lastly, I bring curiosity, warmth, compassion, and a sense of humor to my work. I strive to create a space that is welcoming to all. Let’s have a brief call to determine if we are a good match.
