Hello! I am so glad you are here! My name is Lizette Garcia. I am dually licensed as a marriage & family therapist (LMFT) and a professional clinical counselor (LPCC) in the state of California. I truly hold a passion for connecting with others in finding their identities, overcome their struggles, and process their experience. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at California State University, Fullerton and obtained my Master's in Counseling Psychology at California Baptist University. A few details about my personality/interests, I am funny (although it seems only I feel this way), & compassionate. I love Pilates, lattes, boba, and am pretty trendy! On a professional level, my areas of experience/interest include eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma. As I have explored various therapeutic techniques, I have come to find I work best through the psychodynamic lens. I am a very curious therapist and like to explore where behaviors & struggles stem from for true understanding and healing of each unique individual. I also use techniques from the attachment, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and dialectical behavioral (DBT) therapies. I enjoy tailoring my approach to each unique individual and take a supportive role in finding inner peace and clarity. I have additional training in EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, therapy.
