Everyone carries emotions, memories, and sensations from difficult experiences, and consequently there are parts of you (i.e. behaviors, thought patterns, etc) that work very hard to help keep you safe. I welcome every part of you. Together we will hold space for your pain without rushing to distract, avoid or escape from it and my goal is to help you access the active healing presence inside. Please know, I personally understand that being a person of color poses many challenges in this country and seeking help from clinicians who don't look like you or talk like you makes it far more difficult. I see you and I'm here for you. I am BilinguaI (Spanish) and have successfully completed the IFS Level 1 training through the Internal Family Systems Institute as well as IFIO Level 2 training (Intimacy from the Inside Out). I also draw from Somatic Therapy and value cultural humility, social justice frameworks, strengths-based perspectives and trauma-informed approaches. I see my role as an active guide to help bring you back to your center and lead you to your truth, your power and Self-leadership. I believe that you hold the answers of what is needed to heal and my role as counselor can be pivotal in revealing them. Together we will work towards reclaiming the qualities of your Core Self and welcome you back home.
