Introduction

My name is Liza, pronounced as "Lisa" and I am here to help and support you! I am a Hispanic, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a daughter, a sister and a great friend to many. My professional and lived personal experience makes me a viable therapist to help you with the support you seek. What you should know is that I am passionate about helping youth, individuals, couples and families that are impacted by a variety of mental health disorders, most notably anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse. I am not your ordinary therapist, so if you are looking for a textbook therapist to ask "How does that feel" every other second, I am not that person. I am here to listen, take action and help innovate your negative process of thinking to positive thinking. I am here to help you face your truth, keep it real and keep it simple. I am here to guide you back to a healthier level of cognitive and executive functioning. I will utilize a variety of modalities and therapeutic techniques that stem from CBT, DBT and Strategic Family therapy, just to name a few. I can help you press the reset button. Together, we can collaborate to accomplish your goals by developing positive coping skills, learning mindfulness, innovating life skills and rebuilding self-awareness.
