My decision to become a therapist began with my curiosity of and a deep respect for the diversity of human experience and influences that have shaped and continue to shape who we are today. Although we come into the world alone, we are wired for connection and early on we develop a sense of self from what we observe in others and our relation to them. We develop stories about ourselves that sometimes become barriers to health and happiness. Our work together is a team effort to identify what may be getting in the way of authenticity, contentment, and peace. You have taken the first and brave step of seeking a therapist. I thrive in supporting youth (ages 13 and up), adults, couples, and families in many of life's challenges including relationships, eating disorders, grief and loss, life transitions, and anxiety and depression. None of us function in a vacuum and learning how to better support ourselves so we can engage meaningfully with those we care about is paramount. My experience as a therapist has solidified my belief in the capacity for people to grow and change through relationships - especially our relationships with ourselves. FEES and INSURANCE: FEES: Individual 55 minute session: $150, Couples: 90 minute session $180. Sliding scale is available based on financial need. Please inquire if this applies to you. INSURANCE: I am an out of network provider with most insurance companies. Payment is expected at the time of session or shortly after. I can provide a Superbill to be sent to your insurance for out-of-network benefit reimbursement. Some important questions to ask your insurance provider are 1) what is the reimbursement amount and 2) how long does it take to get reimbursed. The answers can vary widely depending on your plan and the insurance provider.
