Introduction

Hello and welcome to Shame Resistant (SM) Therapy. My name is Liz Padilla Lively. I am a licensed marriage & family therapist, and bilingual school psychologist. My passion is helping people become Shame Resistant (SM) by learning to identify the different "shames" we carry and releasing them. When we do this, we can also learn to notice (and respectfully resist) when others try to shame us. Releasing shame opens the door to wellness and growth in every area of life (physical, emotional, spiritual, financial.) I am a strengths-based therapist and specialize in helping my clients rise, by helping them understand (without judgment) why they do the things they do, while learning self-love and compassion, which often leads to positive changes in their lives. I believe the therapeutic process should be stress- free and not a burden or dreaded task. Are you ready?!! Let's go! (If you're not feeling 100% ready or are unsure, I invite you to reach out anyway. We can chat confidentially and think of potential ways to support you - wherever you find yourself in this process.) I would love to share more about my therapy practice and philosophies with you. Please schedule a free 15 minute teletherapy consultation by clicking the "Request Appointment" box above. *I do not bill insurance, however, I can provide a bill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Payment is expected at time of session.
