I believe that your pain is real and my primary purpose as a therapist is to help you heal what is hurting. My goal is to create a safe environment and be a calming presence where you can bring your whole self. We won’t just think about the concerns that brought you to therapy - we’ll also explore what is working, what is going well, what is helpful in your life. By holding space for your strengths and successes as well as your struggles, you can grow in your resilience and reduce your feelings of discomfort. As we work through these things together, you’ll find your goals and dreams closer at hand and easier to reach than they’ve felt before. You are unique. It is important that you feel heard and understood, and I will listen. What you need is what I will provide - I don’t take a cookie-cutter approach to therapy. Part of my passion about therapy comes from being able to provide support and resources suited to a variety of people and situations. I will help you by honoring your journey and creating an effective, healing therapy approach that incorporates the strengths you already have. Above all, what you want will guide this process. If you aren't sure what your exact goals are, that is okay. Together, we will work on clarifying your picture of the life you want to live. I do a lot of work with people who are coming to know and accept themselves more fully. Whether you’re waking up to your inner workings, wanting to get more out of life, or looking for ways to get out of negative, unhelpful patterns, you are worth embracing. Through therapy methods like EMDR, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing, we will work together to heal what hurts and help you come to a place of self-acceptance and self-compassion. You can build a life you’re excited about living.
