Introduction

Whether it be from childhood sexual abuse, debilitating chronic pain or other life experiences, oftentimes we feel a big sense of inadequacy or not belonging, which manifests in different ways such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders (EDs) & more. Regardless of identities, a lot of us are taught vulnerability is a weakness & self-silencing are priority. Avoidance of uncomfortable physical & emotional pain then becomes very natural whether it is conscious or not. However, this can be costly to your own physical & mental well-being. I work with a variety of mental health issues with specialties in EDs, trauma, & chronic pain. I collaborate with clients on therapy goals, creating meaning, & recognizing strengths. I balance supporting & challenging you to relate differently to uncomfortable thoughts & feelings so they no longer distract you from your potential. As there's no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health, I use mindfulness, self-compassion, CBT & feminist frameworks. This might be your first time seeking counseling or another attempt to connect with a therapist that gets you. I work to establish a trusting & compassionate space connecting through humor, validation, warmth, & transparency. I look forward to learning more about you & supporting you on your journey of healing & living a life consistent with your values. Please schedule a FREE phone minute consultation to get a better sense of how we might work together. I'm available Monday-Friday and if no openings are showing under my profile please message me about an alternate time. Additional weekday times are available by appointment only. I look forward to hearing from you!
